The rig is approximately 18 feet long and will withstand 300lbs of dead weight. It is designed to be fished with a 8 - 24oz spider weight on @ 50 - 100lb test line with a 5' - 6' rod and a 6/0 or larger trolling reel. (Basically a rod/reel/line setup capable of hauling in an oil platform)
