The rig is approximately 7 feet long and will withstand 300lbs of dead weight. It is designed to be fished with a 4 - 12oz spider weight on @ 30 - 50lb test line with a 10-15ft rod and a spinning/casting reel. (Basically a rod/reel/line setup capable of throwing 12 and bait)
