This rig is designed to be fished with a 4 - 8oz spider weight on @ 30lb test line with a 10-15ft rod and a spinning/casting reel. (Basically a rod/reel/line setup capable of throwing 8 and bait)
Just like all the castable rigs I build, these rigs have a large loop at the hook to hang on the Spider /Surf Weight.
The rig should look like this right before you go to cast it out.
