Welcome to Double-D Extreme Tackle
The First Tackle Company Dedicated to the Conservation of Big Game Species
"Fighting the Plight of the Modern Big Game Fish"
-
We at Double-D Extreme Tackle recognize the issues facing big game species in this new century. Overharvesting, entanglement and an unnecessary mortality rate from those fishing purely for sport are a few of the problems faced by the modern big game fish. The waters of this planet provide us with resources that are vital to our survival. It is our responsibility to maintain the aquatic species for future generations.
In the fishing community there is a GROWING effort to stress the importance of CATCH and RELEASE for big predatory game fish. In practicing this, the breeding stock of each species is experiencing LESS pressure and is better able to maintain healthy populations... This shift in thinking is leading toward RESPONSIBLE BIG GAME FISHING.
That is the ultimate goal of Double-D Extreme Tackle. To provide the big game angler the tools and knowlege to responsibly catch and release big game fish.

As a US Naval Veteran, a tackle company owner, a fellow fisherman and a loyal viewer of the "Deadliest Catch" on the Discovery Channel, it is with a heavy heart and deep respect that I bid Captain Phil Harris farewell. He was an inspiration to countless people and admired for the courage and gusto by which he lived his life. I feel as though I have lost a part of my fishing family. My deepest condolences to Jake, Josh, the family and friends he left behind.
"Phil, May you have fair winds and following seas wherever you may be..."
